Part of master printer Christian M. Walter’s Triple-B-Las Vegas series—a collection of smaller-scale, more accessible screenprints—Exhumación was printed and published in January 2015.

By the end of that summer, which was dominated by Banksy’s Dismaland exhibition, this compact yet powerful print had become one of the most sought-after items on the market, attracting a fresh wave of Paco Pomet fans eager to add his work to their collections.

The three bursts of colour in Exhumación reference the flag of the Second Spanish Republic (1931–1939), whose tricolour—red, yellow, and purple—symbolises the Republican ideals and the political memory of pre-Franco Spain.
