Three Paco Pomet works were featured in the My Name’s Lolita Art booth at Estampa Contemporary Art Fair in Madrid this past weekend, rounding off what has been a busy few months for the Granada based artist.

Estampa, organised in collaboration with IFEMA Madrid and now in its 29th year, has a focus on the ‘formation and stabilisation of sustainable collecting for a Spanish gallery scene that is constantly growing and changing’.

We are delighted to announce the release of the new Paco Pomet print Alumbramiento.

For U.K based orders the print will be available in our Shop at 19:00 (U.K time) on Monday 26th September 2022. For non-U.K based orders, the print will be available at the same time (20:00 CET) from CM Walter.

The edition was printed in Christian M. Walter’s award winning studio and is signed and numbered by the artist.

The launch date coincides with the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.

We previously covered the 4 fantastic Paco Pomet paintings at this years Enter Art Fair, and now thanks to innovative 3D technology from Artland, those that were unable to make it to Copenhagen can take a Virtual Reality Tour of Galleri Benoni’s superb presentation and see the event for themselves.

The 4th edition of Enter Art Fair took place over this past weekend in the cultural hot spot of Tunnelfabrikken, Copenhagen. The 4 day event, the only international art fair in Scandinavia, has built up a great reputation since its inauguration back in 2019 and is now well known for being as vibrant and forward-looking as the city it takes place in.

Galleri Benoni have shown some of Paco Pomet’s best work over the past 3 years of the fair, and this summer was no exception with 4 stunning new paintings on display at their popular booth.

7 years ago today (20th August, 2015) the surprise Banksy event Dismaland opened its gates to the public for the first time.

Internacional (2008) will, of course, forever be associated with this event, having gone on to become one of the first ‘viral’ paintings at a time when art and social media were really hitting it off (Banksy himself had coined the term ‘Post-Modem Art’ whilst curating the exhibition). But that painting was just 1 of 7 powerful Paco Pomet works that would captivate those coming through the doors of the dystopian theme park that summer.

Monday evening saw the opening of SIGNALS, the latest group exhibition at Dubai based gallery Galloire.

The exhibition, Pomet’s first showing in the Middle East, features a group of celebrated international artists, from different continents and from different generations, but who are impacted by the same modern world of branding, commerciality and social programming.

A new Paco Pomet painting, titled ‘Coronation’, was recently unveiled at Asia’s leading online art fair, JINGART Platform.

The new piece, an oil on canvas measuring 150 x 190 cm, is presented at the fair by hip Beijing based gallery 42 Art Space.

Bilbao based SC Gallery recently celebrated their 14th anniversary by opening their latest group exhibition Erretratu.

Consisting of 14 works, Erretratu aims to “mark a particular and subjective journey around the portrait”, with the paintings on display using contemporary portraiture as a means to “reveal a society subdued to speed”.

Paco Pomet is amongst 15 artists included in the show, with the aptly titled Contemporary Portrait, an oil on canvas measuring 60 x 70 cm, fitting the concept perfectly.

Paco Pomet was recently invited to take part in the group exhibition ‘Homenaje A Frida’ (Tribute to Frida) - the latest instalment of the innovative art project Lucha de Gigantes.

Lucha de Gigantes brings together the talent of prestigious international artists and challenges them to reinterpret the work of the greats of the past. By inviting contemporary artists to “explore from their own language the work of those who have engraved their name in gold in the History of Art”, the project aims to pay homage whilst attracting and engaging a new audience of future collectors.

Paco Pomet and master screen printer Christian M. Walter have teamed up to bring you their first offering of 2022.

Leviatán, a screen print consisting of 5 different tones of transparent black, is printed on Schutpapier and released in an edition of 90 copies.
