Produced by the renowned K2 Screen and published by Stowe Gallery in 2019, the piece features Bert and Ernie—beloved characters from children’s television—rendered in Pomet’s distinctive monochrome style.

In the main edition of 125 screen prints, the characters are discreetly integrated, often only revealed upon closer inspection within the harsh scene of a car crash. This subtle presence draws attention to the uneasy relationship between childhood innocence and life’s darker realities.

In the highly limited hand-finished edition of just 5 prints, Pomet personally hand-coloured Bert and Ernie, restoring their classic palette. The vibrant colours make the figures immediately noticeable, altering the way the image is perceived and adding a unique, personal touch to each piece.
